Could looking at your goals from a new angle change your course?

In my professional life, my goals include:

  • finishing my M.Ed. in Social-Emotional Learning

  • resigning my position as a high school teacher

  • working for DIAL VHS, Transform Your Classroom & Transform Your World full-time

I've always thought I'd have to replace the income I earn as a high school teacher with something else. But when I look at my goals from the angle of my tax accountant, I wonder if by earning less annual income and paying less in taxes would put me in an even better financial position that I currently am in.

In my personal life, my goals include

  • attending all of the twins' events

  • spending time & sharing space with Tom

  • spending time & sharing space with Jemma, Jessi and my grandkids

I've always thought I'd have to wait until the twins graduated from high school for Tom & I to be together. But when I look at my goals from the angle of my trusted therapist, I wonder if I can have all of the above and not wait.

I'm going to spend some time each night as I fall asleep imagining what my life could be like a year from now when my professional and personal goals merge into awesomeness!
